At the forum, the ambassadors of Slovakia, Pakistan and Ecuador to China respectively shared the achievements and experiences of good models of BRI. They demonstrated the cultural and economic characteristics of their countries through multimedia, and introduced new cooperation projects for Chinese investors.
Mr. He Yijun, Mayor of Rugao City, Jiangsu Province, introduced the city's resource and location advantages, and action plans for participating in the BRI exchanges and cooperation. Mr. Yin Dong, member of Guangdong People ’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and Mr. Zhao Jun, Chairman of Guoshuyuan Supply Chain Management Company, shared their practical experience and understanding of B&R cultural exchange and supply chain construction.
New Projects Release
Many institutions released the “Belt and Road” related projects on the forum.
Brief introduction to the new projects:
1. “Wonderful”
It is a series of short video programs which record the world from an aerial perspective, taking viewers to appreciate the wideness of the world, the beauty of the world, and the great difference of the world. Through aerial photography, the topography of different countries and regions in the world, natural ecology, climatic environment and cultural landscape are displayed. “Wonderful” makes the world no longer far away.
“Time-lapse World” is a time-lapse photography program created by CNC. The unique lens language is used to show the development of the beautiful world and China in the new era from multiple dimensions such as cities, humanities, and scenery.
2. “Belt & Road Empower Enterprise” Project
This project is launched by CRI Online and Silk Road Cities Alliance, including think tank consulting, resource matching, urban exchange, overseas communication, etc. It provides a series of online and offline services for enterprises “going global” and brands “internationalization”. The plan is committed to accurately empowering enterprises to go abroad, helping them to obtain overseas development ideas and information, so that enterprises can further avoid risks and steadily develop overseas.
3. Silk-Road CIFCO 5G Card
CIFCO Mobile partners with Silk Road Cities Alliance to jointly present the “Silk-Road CIFCO 5G Card” subscription package.
The Silk-Road CIFCO 5G Card is a service that encrypts one card with dual international phone numbers, including one Chinese local number and another from a partnering country along the One Belt One Road. 4. Silk Road New Energy Cooperation Committee
Responding to the Business Go Global Initiative and promoting the international development of new energy industry chain, China New Energy
International Alliance and Silk Road Cities Alliance jointly initiated the establishment of the Silk Road New Energy Cooperation Committee, which provides services such as project planning, research, exchanges and docking for international cooperation in the new energy industry.
5. MOU of Cooperation between the Embassy of Ecuador in China and Silk Road Cities Alliance in 2020”
The Embassy of Ecuador in China and SRCA use their respective resources to deepen friendship, strengthen dialogue and exchanges, and support each other's efforts for in-depth cooperation in cultural, economic and trade fields. Regarding the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Ecuador in 2020, a series of celebrations will be held.
6. Silk Road Brands Shanghai Exhibition Center
Bolstra Trade Service Center, Silk Road SME Development Alliance jointly build this exhibition center in Hongqiao International Exhibition Center, to attract Silk Road products to enter Chinese market and help enterprises along the Belt and Road to settle down in Shanghai.
7. Medical Cooperation Project
Silk Road Global Information Ltd. assists Rosewood Bio Limited in setting up pharmaceutical production bases in mainland China.
Wrap-up
Mr. Zhao Qizheng, former Director of the State Council Information Office of China, made a concluding speech. He stated that he had attended Silk Road Ark Forum for three consecutive years, it was getting better and more realistic. This forum was a combination of theory and practice, to discuss the international and domestic trends and grasp the direction. What's even more gratifying is that this forum also focused on releasing future-oriented cooperation projects, bringing inspiration and hope to people.
Youth Voices
Silk Road youths from Pakistan, Egypt, Nepal, Belarus, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Papua New Guinea, Bangladesh and other countries interacted with experts and scholars, analyzed the big era from perspective of young people, shared good experiences, and created new momentum!
The forum attracted extensive media attention. Xinhua News Agency, People's Daily, CRI Online, Global Times, China Youth Daily and other mainstream media in China and abroad reported the forum and interviewed the guests.
As an annual cross-border exchange activities focusing on cooperation with all sides, Silk Road Ark Forum is initiated by Silk Road Cities Alliance, Silk Road City Institute, Beijing Belt & Road Cooperative Community, and co-organized by Fudan Institute of Belt and Road & Global Governance, China Foundation for International Studies, Silk Road Industry and Finance International Alliance, Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies at Renmin University of China, Zhongqi Institute, Japan Belt & Road Institute and other think tanks both domestic and overseas.
