On September 23, Mr. Rudolf Albert Scharping, former German Minister of Defense and chairman of RSBK, was invited to visit the Silk Road Cities Alliance. Both parties had an in-depth discussion on supporting the First World Conference on Best Practicing of Carbon Neutrality and further cooperation in the field of energy and environmental protection.
RSBK Strategie Beratung Kommunikation AG is headquartered in Frankfurt, Germany. It is a corporate consulting company focusing on public management, domestic and international strategic consulting, and one of the most powerful companies in promoting Sino-German cooperation. With high-quality resources in the fields of automobiles, new energy, and manufacturing, RSBK organizes Energy Dialogue and Belt and Road Initiative Sino-German Economic Cooperation Dialogue every year, linking the politics, academia and enterprises to exchange ideas and seek cooperation.
To achieve emissions peak and carbon neutrality in China, Silk Road Cities Alliance, China-Europe Association for Technical and Economic Cooperation and many other institutions initiate the First World Conference on Best Practicing of Carbon Neutrality, which will be held on November 7, in Shanghai. The purpose of the Conference is to gather the wisdom of all parties and the experience of all countries, and promote the Sino-foreign exchanges and cooperation in the fields of environmental protection, energy conservation and carbon emission reduction in a scientific and practical way, while serving China's goals to peak carbon dioxide emissions before 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality before 2060, and jointly caring for the planet.
After listening to the introduction of the Conference, Mr. Scharping was willing to include RSBK as a supporting organization. Himself and his team would integrate experts and corporate resources in the related fields to participate in the Conference and follow-up actions. He also anticipated to dock resources of SRCA to Germany and have more in-depth cooperation with SRCA in 2022.
